Thank you for your interest in joining Beta Delta Chi.
The Queens College Chemistry Honor Society is an organization whose purpose is to inform students about opportunities in chemistry and biochemistry and to assist students in need of tutoring in chemistry.
To qualify as a potential member of the Chemisty Honor Society you must have a B or above average in chemistry courses, as well as college-wide. You must be a chemistry major or a minor (Chemistry 113, 114, 251, 252 + another lab course) and you must be elected to membership by the current members. It is understood that, as a member, you will tutor students one hour per week during the Spring and Fall semesters. This helps to fulfill the mission of the organization and reinforces your own knowledge of chemistry, which can be helpful for performance on standardized tests such as the GRE, MCAT and DAT.
If you wish to be considered for membership in ΒΔΧ simply print and fill in this application and return it to an officer of the Honor Society or leave it in Dr. Rotenberg's mailbox in the chemistry department (Remsen 206).
